Personal highlights for Niykee include getting selected to be part of Snoop on the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013 and composing songs in spite of the chaos over the last few years. She is now a magnet for aspiring producers, she regularly combs through beats sent her way and discovers that a lot of them result in sparking ideas for songs. "I'll be able to tell within the first 5 minutes if this is a quality beat. Once I have a tune in my mind and I begin to write right away." As I play my guitar in my front yard the words begin to flow. A majority times, it's completed in just about 30 minutes. Niykee's pain in the past provides an unending source of unexpected ideas. She says that even when she's not composing about events that are actually happening the pain through her childhood and grief over the loss of her daughter finds its way into the music. It shapes my songs and builds this deeper understanding behind all things that's one the most important things that I value. It is important to me to realize that I can hear any of my music 20 years down the road and be happy with what I said.
