Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on the 30th of December 1986. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 due to her irresistible electronic pop tunes "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is a distinctive soprano scream, and an aptitude to write songs that are emotional with positive lyrics. Like her predecessors Kate Bush or Imogen, she's at the forefront of modern mainstream pop and the artful independent music. Polydor Records signed her to one of their record labels and she started preparing for the debut album.
