tito ortizJacob Christopher "Tito" Ortiz born on 23rd January 1975) is an American mixed martial artist and politician. He is currently contracted to the Combate Americas promotion. Ortiz is most famous for his time with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is an ex-UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, having been the champion from April 14, 2000 until September 26, 2003. He was one of the early stars in the sport along with Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell. Ortiz was the most coveted pay-per-view star in 2006 beating Forrest Griffin and Liddell. Ken Shamrock Ortiz, the chief executive officer of Punishment Athletics MMA equipment, is also the owner of Punishment Athletics clothing and equipment, both of which are situated in Huntington Beach, California.
